How to Name Your Perfume and Create a Personal Brand

Creating a perfume is an art… and so is naming it. If you want to sell it or give it as a gift, giving it a good name can make all the difference. A good name connects emotionally with whoever smells it and reinforces your brand.

    1. Think about the sensation it conveys.

Is it fresh? Romantic? Intense? Earthy? Use adjectives or images that represent its essence:

    summer breeze

    Black night

    wild flower

    vanilla light

    2. Avoid genericism

Names like “Perfume No. 3” or “Floral Aroma” don’t convey anything. Be original, but don’t overcomplicate it.

    3. Be inspired by nature, art, or the senses

    Places: Bali, Savannah, Paris Bois

    Sensations: Calm, Volcano, Awakening

    Elements: Amber Shade, White Fire

    4. Create perfume trend

If you want to go further:

    Design a simple logo

Create homemade labels with adhesive paper.

Give your bottles and names a coherent visual style.

Final tip: Make the name tell a story. Make whoever reads it want to smell it.
